Agility and Tribal Leadership
Friday, November 04, 2011
A full-day seminar presented by Sinan Si Alhir. This workshop is being coordinated by Dr. Huimin Zhao, Associate Professor in IT Management, Lubar School of Business, UW-Milwaukee
Whether you attended the “Tribal Leadership in Practice” workshop last fall and want to learn more or you are new to Tribal Leadership, this workshop will meet both audiences’ needs. The “Tribal Leadership in Practice” workshop is not a prerequisite.
Agile is an umbrella term for Scrum, Extreme Programming, Lean Development, Kanban, etc., which have their roots in Agility or the “ability to be agile.” Many consider Agile a technology approach; however, the “ability to be agile” (or Agility) applies to the whole enterprise or organization, business and technology, including executives, management, and teams. In essence, Agility is a value system that emphasizes people, results, collaboration, and responsiveness.
Tribal Leadership is a proven transformational process and leadership model for fostering organizational health (performance and well-being), which leverages natural groups to build thriving organizations by focusing on language and relationship structures within a culture. Harvard Business suggests that 70% of change initiatives fail and 75% of change initiatives do not yield the promised results. It is the strong cultures—interconnected people bound by a commitment to shared values and alignment around a shared vision—that outperform weaker cultures, with four times higher revenue, seven times greater work force, 12 times higher stock prices, and 756% higher net income.
If you are doing anything with Agility but not achieving greater organizational health and maximizing your ROI, consider Tribal Leadership in an Agile World!
