• Cendant needed a simplified revenue enhancement tool to provide easy-to-understand yield management (YM) advice to hotel operators
• Most yield management tools for the hotel industry are too expensive and complex for the typical on-site staff at Cendant properties

Solution

• Redpoint designed and developed a unique rule-based revenue enhancement system that provides concrete YM advice to hotel property owners, managers and corporate personnel
• Dynamic, configurable YM rules can be edited at the brand or property level to customize system behavior
• When potential problems are found, alerts are automatically generated and distributed via multiple channels (including fax, email, and local printers)
• Management reporting and query capabilities are also included in the system

Results

• Hotel managers and owners now receive daily notifications about problems with availability or pricing
• Cendant management now has an effective means to monitor and track property-level performance and compliance with corporate YM guidelines
