• Harris Publishing wanted to completely overhaul the technology platform that supports their Internet Services Division products
• Harris was also interested in acquiring a niche Canadian publishing company and gaining access to their online publishing platform and customer base

Solution

• Redpoint was engaged to perform a thorough review of the existing Harris technology platform, including the overall technical architecture and 3rd-party products in use
• Redpoint also performed a detailed assessment of the Canadian publishing company's product architecture and other technical assets
• A detailed analysis document was produced that included a blueprint for Harris' next-generation architecture and specific recommendations for technology components to purchase or build

Results

• As a result of Redpoint's recommendation, Harris decided to acquire the Canadian publishing company, but not to adopt all of their technology
• Instead, Harris began a long-term technical project to upgrade their current architecture based on Redpoint's blueprint
